Today’s seniors are active, healthy, and vibrant. Maintaining this good health requires a specialized field of medicine. As we age, our medical needs change. Diseases and symptoms present differently in individuals over age 65 than they do in a younger person. St. Joseph Hospital developed a place that caters to the unique medical, emotional and mental health needs of the aging population – The Roger Dionne Senior Center.
Physician, Roger Dionne, conceptualized a place where seniors could go and access healthcare services and programs easily. With the support of Administration, fellow physicians, and staff, that concept became reality. Patients of The Roger Dionne Senior Center enjoy the advantage of having many levels and types of care, including primary care, specialty care and social services at one outpatient location.
Our staff of geriatric specialists: physicians, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff specialize in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of older adults. Our primary goal is to keep older people functional and independent as long as possible.
